How and when do owners get paid?
When do I get paid? When you rent out an item, we'll send you the due amount within 24 hours of the start date of the rental. To help operate the Fat Llama platform, we charge a service fee on all transactions of 25% from the owner and 25% from the renter. In numbers, that means that if an item's listed at £/$100/day, the renter pays £/$125 and the owner earns £/$75. These service fees are paid automatically as part of your transaction. If you would like to charge VAT on your rentals you will need to include it in the rental price you set. You can use the description to give any details such as whether VAT is included in the price, or what your VAT number is. If you wish to provide the renter with an invoice directly to show the breakdown of rental fee and VAT, you can give them a physical invoice when they pick up the item. When you rent something on Fat Llama as an owner, we transfer your earnings to your account using our payment provider, Stripe.
