Is the rented item still covered by the owner guarantee if taken abroad?
An item is covered by the Owner guarantee if it is taken abroad, provided that the renter seeks and obtains clear permission from the owner in advance.
This needs to be in written form, in the Fat Llama chat.
Important Notice: You may be requested to get third party insurance if a booking is exceeding a value of over £10k or £15k. The renter in this case must have appropriate insurance coverage in place. This is a strict requirement with no exceptions. In this case, if the item is to be taken abroad, both the owner’s approval and confirmation from the insurance provider are required before proceeding.
