Extend a rental or change the dates
Plans change, and you might need to adjust a rental you've requested. Here's what to do:
Currently, we do not have a function to extend an ongoing rental period. To extend the rental, please submit a new rental request for the additional days.
If the owner agrees to let you keep the item for an extra day at no additional cost, you do not need to extend the rental period. However, it's always a good idea to get this agreement in writing using the built-in messaging system on the platform. In this case, the owner can wait to mark the item as returned until it has actually been returned.
To change the rental dates, you have two options:
Cancel the existing booking and submit a new rental request with the updated dates.
Ask the owner to contact our support team, and we can manually change the dates for you.
If you decide to postpone the rental period for a paid booking without updating the booked dates in the system, it will automatically mark the rental as completed when the original dates have passed. To prevent this, ensure the correct dates are set in the system. Date changes can only be made before the rental is marked as completed.
Please note that our support team can assist with changing the dates in the system, but this will not affect the rental price. If you need to extend the rental and additional fees apply, you will need to create a new booking for the extra days as described above.

If the owner is unable to accommodate your request for an extension or date change, please respect their decision. If you need to cancel the rental as a result, be sure to review and adhere to the cancellation terms that apply to your booking.
